PAAA A/I Fellow Opportunities

A/I Fellow Travel Reimbursement

In order to foster the great legacy of this organization and help lead future allergists to successful careers in our field, we have expanded our Travel Reimbursement Program to provide $2,000 to each of five allergy and immunology fellowship programs serving Pennsylvania to encourage FITS attendance the Annual Meeting.

One or more fellows may be nominated from each training program. The nominated fellow is expected to bring a research poster to the meeting.

Requirements

  • Fellows will be expected to attend all educational sessions of the meeting.

  • FITs must be members of PAAA. Membership in PAAA is free to FITs. Non-members can submit an application via the PAAA Membership Application.

  • All nominated fellows are also expected to register, free of charge, for the PAAA Annual Meeting.

  • Submit a Poster

    • Presentations will be assigned during the breaks on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

    • All poster submissions should be entered in this PAERF Poster Submission Form

For questions about these opportunities or to submit a nomination, please contact PAAA Staff at paaa@paallergy.org.

Mentoring Program

The PAAA, in conjunction with our Pennsylvania Allergy Education Research Fund (PAERF) Committee, is excited to announce an expansion of our long-standing Mentor-Mentee Program. This year, all in training/early career annual meeting attendees will be paired with a current active PAAA member.

Our mentorship program is geared to enhance the PAAA Annual Meeting experience for trainees and veteran practitioners alike and provide an opportunity to continue the relationship throughout the year.

All mentors and mentees who are registered for the PAAA Annual meeting will meet during the In-Training Networking Reception to be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 7:00 pm. This goal of this reception is to connect FITs and early career physicians with our esteemed faculty and seasoned leadership and foster a relationship of growth and development.

If you are unable to attend the PAAA Annual Meeting but would like to participate in the Mentoring Program, contact PAAA Staff at paaa@paallergy.org.

Early Career Travel Assistance Program

To encourage greater participation by those in practice three years or less, PAAA will be waiving the 2025 PAAA member registration fee for PAAA early career members. PAAA early career members will also be able to receive a $100/night subsidy on their overnight accommodations (Receipts required. Subsidy available for a maximum of three nights.) Additional information and submission forms will be available in June.
